Mitsubishi Electric FR-BU2 Brake Unit & FR-BR / MT-BR5 Resistor Units

The FR-BU2 brake unit, used with FR-BR or MT-BR5 resistor units (or GRZG discharging resistors), gives greater braking capability than an external brake resistor.

Key features

  • Connectable to inverters without built-in brake transistor; up to 10 units in parallel
  • Resistor choice by required braking torque: GZG/GRZG resistors, FR-BR or MT-BR5 units
  • FR-BU2-H220K / H280K are used with three or four MT-BR5-H75K in parallel
  • FR-A840-00052(1.5K) or lower inverters cannot be used with brake units
  • Discharging resistor temperature rises to approx. 200 deg C; use heat-resistant wiring
