LAB-series large DC motors in centre heights 355-450 mm with outputs up to approx. 600 kW at 470 V for heavy variable-speed drives.

Key features

  • Fully laminated stator (frame, main poles and interpoles in one stamping) with low rotor inertia for fast, accurate control from a converter
  • Wide speed range; field-weakening operation possible within the listed speed limits
  • Class F insulation system (class H esterimide-varnished copper), suitable for tropical climates; anti-corrosion treatment standard
  • Low vibration and noise through careful rotor balancing and CNC-machined end shields and frames
  • Square-section frame with large inspection panels; fan motor and terminal box in 24 mounting combinations
