LAP-series laminated-frame DC motors in centre heights 112-160 mm for converter-fed variable-speed drives.

Key features

  • Fully laminated stator (frame, main poles and interpoles in one stamping) with low rotor inertia for fast, accurate control from a converter
  • Wide speed range; field-weakening operation possible within the listed speed limits
  • Overload capacity of 180% rated current for 30 s every 30 minutes; 160% rated torque for 15 s every 5 minutes (IEC 34-1)
  • Class F insulation system (class H esterimide-varnished copper), suitable for tropical climates; anti-corrosion treatment standard
  • Low vibration and noise through careful rotor balancing and CNC-machined end shields and frames
  • Square-section frame with large inspection panels; fan motor and terminal box in 24 mounting combinations
