The ABK series is a pneumatic clamp cylinder with a built-in spring lock that holds the piston in one direction (forward or backward) to prevent drops and hold position.

Key features

  • It is available in bores of 32, 40, 50 and 63 mm with clevis widths of 16.5 mm (ABKA) and 19.5 mm (ABKB)
  • Air cushions are standard at both the rod and head ends, a speed controller is built in and the piping position can be chosen freely
  • A strong coil scraper removes the need for a bellows, and strong-magnetic-field auto switches can be fitted
  • The lock releases at 0.2 MPa or more and is intended for holding a stopped position, not for intermediate stops during motion
