Apex Dynamics PU Lubrication Pinions (Felt Gears, Module 1-12)

Apex Dynamics PU lubrication pinions are open-cell polyurethane foam gears with standard involute teeth that run in mesh with a rack or pinion and distribute lubricant fed by the LUG lubricator evenly over all tooth flanks.

Key features

  • Order code PU-<module>-<teeth><S/L/R>: S straight, L left-hand helical (meshes rack), R right-hand helical (meshes pinion)
  • Modules 1 to 12 plus circular-pitch sizes Pt 5, Pt 10 and Pt 13.33 (straight teeth)
  • Open-cell PU foam absorbs lubricant and lubricates without load or over-lubrication
  • Soak in lubricant before first use; feed rate set by module and speed via the controller
  • Mounted on AUX tightening shafts (right-angle or in-line) that carry the lubricant to the pinion
  • Central distance to pinion a = (d + dF)/2; to rack bottom A = h0 + dF/2
